East Elgin EarlyON Child and Family Centre - Playgroup in the Park.  Join us Outside every Thursday morning from 9:30-11:30 at the Port Burwell Pavilion beside the Fred Bodsworth Library.  This program is for families/caregivers with children 0-6 years.  We will have toys, crafts, and activities and end our program with a story and songs.  This is a drop-in program, so come when you are able. Weather Permitting.

Please join us on Sunday August 4th, from 8am - 12pm, at the Port Burwell Fire Hall, for a delicious breakfast and support a great cause!

Adults $10 - Kids $5 - Children 0-3 FREE!

All proceeds raised will go to the Port Burwell Firefighters Association!

The 2024 Bayham Beachfest will be held on Sunday August 4, 2024 at various location within Pt Burwell.

To start the festivities, there will be a Fireman's Breakfast at the Pt Burwell Firehall (55451 Nova Scotia Line) from 8am - 12pm.

At the Memorial park, there is a Kids Zone from 10am - 6pm, where there will be facepainting, bouncy castles & balloon animals.

There will be a vendor sale on Eriues St from 12pm - 5pm

Scoops Ice Cream will be having an Ice Cream eating contest at 12pm

At the Pavilion, there will be live music from the Tonewheels from 1pm - 5pm

On the beach will also be a 2-day Volleyball Tournament. Registration required.

And of course....Fireworks at dusk!

The Municipal Office will be closed Monday, August 5, 2024 for the Civic Holiday

and will reopen Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 8:30am - 4:30pm (regular business hours)

Please join the Straffordville and Port Burwell Libraries at their upcoming wrap-up party on August 9, 2024 at 2pm, being held at the Straffordville Community Centre at 56169 Heritage Line.

The wrap-up party is for community members of all ages to celebrate their annual TD Summer Reading Club.

There will be a children’s band from Cambridge, Ontario, coming to entertain, called ‘The Relative Minors’.

Enjoy a fun and groovy performance with hilarious, beautiful and catchy songs about sandwiches, libraries, guitar-playing dinosaurs and banana-eating walruses, which will have you singing and dancing until bedtime!

The Straffordville Community Committee is hosting their annual Watermelon Festival at the Straffordville Community Centre Park on August 24, 2024.

This is a free event, however donations will be greatly appreciated at each of the entrances to the park.

There will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Straffordville Fire Hall at 55764 Third St.  

There will also be parade travelling through downtown Straffordville at 10 am.

Bring the whole family out for food, craft vendors, silent auction, kids shows, birds of prey and reptile display, kids bike draw, rides, face painting, live music, karaoke, petting zoo and of course....fresh sliced Watermelon!

There will also be a movie in the park at dusk. Bring a chair, blanket, etc. Movie to be announced at a later date.
